We all agree that Door County is an "enchanted place."  The passion and the love that people have for this area is palpable, and truly something special.  The goal of this new magazine is to help people "relive their happy place" and live the "Cherry Life"  24/7 no matter where they call home.

We have 3 possible internships still available.

Greetings; in a effort to put together one of the coolest digital publications available we are looking to have a few more interns join our team for the summer. (And possibly beyond)
Telecommuting/work from you place. If you in Door County this summer great - some positions will work via the 'cloud' - he future of business. (Some business)

1. Jr. Editor/Publisher Team Leader

Door County Social—an up and coming digital lifestyle magazine—plans to start it off right with a summer blockbuster series of three issues. In our own creative way, we will help people all over the planet to discover and enjoy the special ethos of the Midwestern Riviera known as Door County, Wisconsin, U.S.A. Our goal is to help people show off their 'happy place' and "Live the Cherry Life!" no matter where they are. We plan to launch a free magazine that will appeal to those who are interested in vacationing and living in Door County.

Our Door County Facebook page grew to have more than 14,000 fans over a 2-year period. Because the people who love Door County are craving more information about this special place, we recognized the need for more robust content, and we are creating an electronic magazine for the ever-expanding digital world. Door County Social will begin publication with three free interactive multimedia magazines—a summer blockbuster series of sorts. This will be paired with our sister website, community blog.
To help publicize, engage, grow and interact our fan base a community of fans across the world here in the digital 21st Century.  From desktops to mobile we are aiming this at all digital platforms.
- If you have embraced, and understand the modern digital world, and are comfortable and adept using all the digital services out there, great we would love to talk to you.
- Demonstrate interest, knowledge and passion for this stuff. If you love Door County all the better.
- Possess skills in writing, presentation, interpersonal relations, and customer management.
- Knowledge of both old fashion and modern public relations all the better.

Responsibilities:

- Facebook, blogging, Twitter, Texting, Youtube, Google +, WordPress (maybe Kickstarter) we are looking for someone that loves this stuff likes to have fun. Someone who is coach-able and can work as part of a team.
Work some from Door County and some of the time from wherever you live. We embrace the cloud and the future. So some days it won't matter where you work from (like a lot of business' of the future.) We embrace it all - social interaction, marketing, advertising, affiliate marketing and/or public relations!
- Coordinate online marketing and advertising campaigns and update Web sites
- Collaborate with the Co and Jr. Publisher and the Founder's and Director of Innovation and Digital Strategist
- Organize community outreach
- The ability to think uncubed as we like to say.

Requirements:

- If you have embraced, and understand the modern digital world, and are comfortable and adept using all the digital services out there, great we would love to talk to you.

Door County Social it's new & cool—an up and coming lifestyle magazine lifestyle effort that is getting ready to publish a cutting edge digital magazine. We’re currently building our interface to give our worldwide community of Door County Fans a better interactive experience. We are looking for a Graphic Design intern who would be willing to help with building layouts for each issue as well as help branding the magazine and our online efforts. We will be working with a cool innovation studio and one of the nation's leading digital catalog/magazine publishers utilizing their incredible technology. Requirements: To be discussed

- That you have a eye for design. Apple is a good benchmark. You have all the required skills to bring good ideas & design to life digitally. The basics - A Graphic Design intern should be knowledgeable/skilled in various design software such as Adobe Photoshop and the like as well as the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Comfortable and adept at working in the cloud. Be able to contribute and articulate ideas to help make our efforts exceptional.
Fast and reliable Internet connection is necessary for easy access to e-mail (preferably mobile access as well). A lot of free time and an open schedule is needed. We are fine with a varied schedule work when it fit your schedule as long as the results are exceptional and on deadline. Some face to face sessions will probably be necessary.

Door County Social's Summer Blockbuster Digital Magazine x3!
